Eco-Evenement: Resources on sustainable event production provided by a collective of 7 main corporate event trade associations in Belgium. Includes a charter, the ‘ADERE’ tool, and other further guidance. Aimed more at corporate events, but some information will be useful across the board.

Jonge Sla: Organisation for sustainable practice in the arts. Also have a searchable case study library and checklists and resources for arts organisations and artists that cover energy efficiency, sourcing, lighting, etc. Resources aimed at venue-based organisations, not festivals. They also provide sustainability training and consultancy.



Awards and certifications

De Groene Vent (Flanders): Green Events label launched by Flemish waste agency OVAM in 2010; covers energy efficiency, waste, and other criteria. The scheme also offers 3 x awards of €2000 to the greenest music, cultural, and sports events respectively.

Green Track: Reducing the ecological footprint of the arts sector. There is a Green Track Charter for both Leuven and Ghent that arts organisations in the area can sign up to in order to become part of the local transition network - commitments include putting in place an action plan.
