Greece continues to suffer from the consequences of the economic crisis, so that resources for energy efficiency and renewable energy are not readily available. There are some leading pioneers in the country however – for example, Thessaloniki Concert Hall has achieved significant energy savings by implementing a full sustainable development plan, resulting in overall financial savings. The Concert Hall has also hosted an international conference on SUSTAINABILITY AND CULTURE / Sustainable Cultural Management in 2013. Thessaloniki Concert Hall’s sustainability programme is called ‘Megaro Goes Green’ – you can also read more here.
