EnergiePortal: news and resource portal for energy and renewable energy in Slovakia. Includes a directory of vendors of solar panels as well as an easily searchable directory of other energy-related services such as energy auditors. Also provides an overview of energy legislation.

Úrad pre reguláciu sieťových odvetví / Regulatory office for network industries is the oversight body for electricity and other utilities in Slovakia. They provide guidance on switching energy supplier, and run a price comparison calculator.

Solarne Novinky: online portal providing guidance and news on solar energy

ENPOS: online portal providing information on environmental sustainability and energy for municipalities. Venues that are tied to or owned by municipalities or local authorities may be able to access free environmental advice.


EE Suppliers:

BikeLab Initiative: interactive audience engagement installations to get audiences to create their own energy using pedal power which can be used to power a cinema, sound system, or other installations. They have featured at festivals and events including Pohoda and Colours of Ostrava 

EU Solar: sale and installation of solar energy systems for heating water and generating electricity. They also provide some guidance on how to access government financing incentives for renewable energy

Neosolar: sale and installation of solar systems for heating water and generating electricity

Svetlo LED: sale of wide range of LED lighting for interior and exterior use

Slovak Innovation and Energy Agency (SEIA): administers a range of financial grants, loans, and incentives for energy efficiency and renewable energy:

Green Households: Houses and apartments are eligible for support in the form of vouchers for the installation of small plants for the use of renewable energy sources (RES) through the national project of the Slovak Innovation and Energy Agency (SIEA) called ‘Green Households’. Businesses such as venues are NOT eligible – however owners of venues may wish to install solar panels at home, or advertise the opportunity to your audiences.

Julie’s Bicycle Creative Industry Green: environmental certification scheme ranging from 1-3 stars specifically designed for the creative industries, available for festivals/outdoor events, venues, and offices.

A Greener Festival Awards: environmental sustainability award for outdoor events and festivals.
