Ministrstvo za Infrastrukturo – Portal Energetika: the Energy Portal of Slovenia’s Ministry of Infrastructure provides a huge amount of resources, including explanations of current policy such as guidance on financial incentives for renewable energy and combined heat and power installations and an overview of the law mandating regular checks of air conditioning systems. The Ministry also organises trainings to certify those wishing to undertake air conditioning inspections.

Pozitivna Energija: interactive online portal allowing you to quickly calculate the energy consumption and cost of the lighting and appliances in your home or building, and that offers tips on how to make savings and suggestions on investments and their potential savings e.g. energy-saving lightbulbs: 

“Take Less; Keep More” is a guide published by the Ministry of the Environment on more sustainable living and includes a section on energy use and energy efficiency [PDF]

ENGIS Portal: an online map portal providing an overview of all renewable energy installations in Slovenia.

Institut "Jožef Stefan" Centre for Energy Efficiency: involved in various European projects on energy efficiency that may be able to offer further support. They also offer training for energy managers for businesses looking to increase their in-house energy management skills 

FOCUS: NGO focusing on environmental sustainability that offers some resources including top energy saving tips.


EE Suppliers:

Register of licensed experts for the issuing of Energy Performance Certificates: all buildings being advertised for sale or lease must show an energy performance certificate assessing their energy efficiency. This government register lists all experts who have been licensed to issue energy performance certificates under this law.



Eko sklad (Eco Fund) – Slovenian Environmental Public Fund: provides soft loans to businesses for investment in environmental improvements, including renewable energy and energy efficiency upgrades.

Julie’s Bicycle Creative Industry Green: environmental certification scheme ranging from 1-3 stars specifically designed for the creative industries, available for festivals/outdoor events, venues, and offices.
