EE MUSIC Train-the-Expert, Graz

For years the energy consumption of event locations, clubs and concert halls was of little importance in the event industry. Rising energy costs and an increased awareness about environmental issues has made many venue owners wish for better energy management in their venues. Although energy has already become an important price factor for venues and the demand for energy consultation continues to grow in this sector, only few energy consultants and technicians know about the specific energy needs of venues and locations.

The EE MUSIC Train-the-Expert Training (Indoor Venues) in Graz addresses energy consultants and technical employees of small- to medium-sized clubs and event venues. The focus of these two-day training courses will be on the energy efficient behavior of a venue's staff (e.g. switch on/off policies), an overview of energy efficient equipment for the event business and the analysis of structural measures. Possible financing models for venues will also be dealt with. On the basis of the results gained by the Green Club Index in Germany and the research of Julie's Bicycle in England, case studies of top locations such as the Wembley Stadium, the O2 Arena or the Brixton Academy will be presented; successful measures and tools which were particularly effective in the energy management of these venues will be elaborated on.

Participants of the two-day training course are offered the unique chance to gain insights into the energy management of internationally renowned locations and can receive practical knowledge for the new and expanding market for the energy management of event venues. The training is free of charge and will be held in English. Participants will receive a certificate. The venue will be disclosed soon.
