Although the market of music events and festivals is getting bigger and bigger in Poland, the subject related to electricity savings and efficiency while organising such events has not been discussed so far.

A similar issue refers to building eco awareness among music promoters and owners of music clubs. Thus, the meeting organised in Cracow was the first event of this kind in Poland.

We started the event with media actions and besides providing the information on music websites, we also presented EE Music idea in radio stations, in programmes of local and publicist character. On the public radio we talked about improvement of eco awareness in the context of various cultural events taking place in Cracow, as well as about the methods of eco promotion among their participants. On the other hand, during our visit in local Krk radio we explained how conscious eco savings could bring significant benefits to every organiser of music events or concerts.

A day later, the actual meeting was organised in the building of Małopolski Ogród Sztuki, which is a modern exhibition hall. The event guests were Nina Hillekum from Thema 1 agency, Allison Tuckell from Julie Bicycle agency and Bernhard Steier – associated with EE Music project, an organiser of the prestigious festival Elevate in Graz. The meeting participants included representatives of Cracow cultural institutions (Małopolski Instytut Sztuki) who manage various clubs (Rotunda club), organisers of fairs and events (Cracow design fairs), music group managers and students of AGH environmental protection department. The first presentation, conducted by Nina Hillekum, discussed ee-music idea, its field of interests and actions taken under the project. The second lecture was made by Allison Tuckell who talked with inspiration about gains and benefits resulting from eco awareness improvement in the field of actions related to music events. At the end of the meeting there was time to ask questions on both ee-music project and the possibilities of cooperation as part of the project.

The meeting ended with lunch, made as a vegetarian meal by Hummus Amamamusi.
